# Fernway Group: Sample Data Pack

**This is a fictional sample-data pack.** Fernway Group is a made-up, mid-size UK company invented purely for practising AI tasks safely. Everyone named in these files is a fictional character. None of the people, figures, customers, or events are real, and none of the data describes a real person or organisation.

## Why this pack exists

The AI Tools Academy lessons use these files so you can practise common workplace tasks, such as summarising notes, cleaning up a messy spreadsheet, extracting action items and drafting replies, without ever touching real, confidential information.

## What's in the pack

- **README.md**, this file.
- **fernway-meeting-notes.md**, rough notes from a weekly operations sync. Good for "summarise + extract actions" practice.
- **fernway-sales.csv**, a deliberately messy sales export (~28 rows). Good for a "clean this up / analyse" exercise.
- **fernway-remote-working-policy.md**, a two-page fictional hybrid/remote-working policy.
- **fernway-email-thread.md**, a short internal email thread with a mild disagreement, resolved politely.
- **fernway-project-brief.md**, a one-page brief for a fictional internal project.
- **fernway-org-chart.md**, a short indented org chart of the invented cast.

**Do not paste real confidential data into AI tools** for practice. Use this fictional pack instead. When you move on to real work, follow your own organisation's data-handling and AI-use policies, and keep personal data, customer records, and anything commercially sensitive out of tools that aren't approved for it.
